The Watch Disciple of Deokjin Yuk Onlinepast 12 months have been roughly 700 years long, but Thursday's Primetime Emmy nominations remind us how much has happened in TV in addition to the flaming hell of reality.

Remember Stranger Things? The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel? Remember Jon Snow's butt?? ALL OF THAT WAS IN THE PAST YEAR.

With that in mind, we take a moment to reflect on the year in television and our Emmy nomination wish list.

1. Queer Eye domination

Not since their inception have the reality TV category justified their existence, until now. A nomination for Queer Eyeis in the bag, and the sheer joy and salience of this delightful show and its charming cast all but guarantee a win.

2. Enough with Game of Thrones

Listen, we're in on Westerosi drama until the end (and beyond), but Season 7 was Thronesweakest when it comes to writing and acting (when it comes to technical awards, we support a clean sweep).

We'll see it competing for Lead Actor and Actress and Best Drama, but know that we'll be sighing heavily (especially as it faces off with wobbling sophomore seasons of Westworld6and The Handmaid's Tale).

3. Justice for The Americans

This is the end for FX's gripping drama about Russian spies living undetected in the U.S. during the Cold War, which has only two guest star Emmys for character actress Margo Martindale. There's some great TV out there, but this is a tragic oversight that has gone on too long.

4. Love for The CW

Jane the Virginand Crazy Ex-Girlfriendjust closed out two excellent seasons, and it is a crime that neither Gina Rodriguez nor Rachel Bloom have even been nominatedfor their performances before. We stan legends here at Mash Ent.

5. Spread the comedy love

The Emmys have a knack for nominating the same shows across acting and overall categories, but that snubs a lot of truly excellent shows. There's place enough for returning shows Atlanta, Black-ish, Silicon Valley, and Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, as well as to acknowledge the brilliance of The Good Place, the flawless ensembles of Brooklyn Nine-Nine and Superstore, the absurdity of Santa Clarita Diet, the searing wit of Dear White People, the grim genius of Barry.

That said...it's probably going to be a lot of Will and Grace.

The Emmy Awards air Sept. 17.
